Can I open a joint account or hold more than one account?
Yes to both. Additional accounts can be opened from inside online banking; joint accounts require identity verification for every holder.
Additional accounts in your own name
Once you are verified, opening another account is quick. Sign in, open Accounts and choose Open a new account. Because your identity is already on file, most additional accounts are opened immediately. You can hold multiple currencies and give each account a nickname so it is easy to tell them apart.
Joint accounts
A joint account can be held by two or more people. Each holder must complete identity verification individually, and each receives their own online banking credentials — you never share a login.
When you apply you will choose how the account operates:
- Either to sign — any holder can transact alone. Convenient, but every holder can move the full balance.
- All to sign — every payment needs approval from every holder. Slower, but no single person can act alone.
Changing or closing a joint account
Adding or removing a holder, or changing the signing rule, requires written instruction from all current holders. Raise a support ticket to start the process — it cannot be completed by one holder alone.
Did this not solve it?
Raise a support ticket from inside online banking and a specialist will answer with your account in front of them — or contact us if you cannot sign in.
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 20:00 (CET). Card loss and fraud reporting is staffed 24/7.
