I think I have been scammed — what do I do right now?
Freeze your cards, change your password, then report it immediately by phone. Speed is the single biggest factor in recovering funds.
Act in this order
- Freeze every card in online banking under Cards.
- Change your password to one you have never used anywhere else, and choose Sign out everywhere.
- Call us. Fraud reporting is staffed 24 hours a day — the number is on our contact page. Phoning is faster than any written channel, and speed is what determines whether funds can be stopped.
- Do not delete anything. Keep the messages, emails, transaction references and any phone numbers used — they are evidence.
- Report it to your local police or fraud authority and note the crime reference.
If you gave someone remote access to your device
Disconnect it from the internet, and do not use it for banking again until it has been checked. Sign in from a different, trusted device to change your password.
What we will do
We attempt to stop or recall any payment still in flight, secure your account, review recent activity with you, and open a formal case. You will get a case reference and regular updates.
Never feel embarrassed. Modern scams are professional and convincing, and reporting quickly matters far more than how it happened.
Did this not solve it?
Raise a support ticket from inside online banking and a specialist will answer with your account in front of them — or contact us if you cannot sign in.
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 20:00 (CET). Card loss and fraud reporting is staffed 24/7.
