How do I close an account, or reactivate a dormant one?
Closure is requested through a support ticket once the balance is settled. Dormant accounts are reactivated after a short identity re-check.
Closing an account
- Move or withdraw the remaining balance, or tell us where to send it.
- Cancel any scheduled or recurring payments and update anyone who pays into the account.
- Raise a support ticket titled "Account closure" and confirm the account number.
- We check for pending transactions, settle any outstanding fees, and confirm closure in writing.
Closure normally completes within five working days. Accounts with an active loan, card balance, or a transaction still in dispute cannot be closed until those are resolved.
Dormant accounts
An account with no customer-initiated activity for an extended period is marked dormant. This is a protective measure — dormant accounts are a common fraud target. While dormant, outgoing payments are blocked but your funds remain safe and any interest continues to accrue.
To reactivate, sign in and follow the prompt, or raise a support ticket. We will ask you to re-confirm your identity and your current address. Reactivation is normally same-day.
